Kauri team Cross Country

This morning Kauri team met at the hall steps because we all were getting ready for our Kauri team Cross Country. We all were waiting for Ms Green to give us the instructions so we could follow them and we could be safe while we are on the road and on the drive ways. After that we went into the Hall and there Ms Oshea gave us more instructions.

We started from the hall, Before we started all the parents and teachers were needed to stand were they were suppose to the year six boys started it then the year six girls after that the year five boys  then the year five girls. We all ran down to range view road then to halberg park and we came back to school  everyone was cheering for each other because  it was a race.

Most of the parents were there to help us. There was only  one parent from our class. We at least needed fifteen parents to help us because there was a  lot of ways and we could be safe when we are crossing drive ways and roads. 

We all ran down to Rangeview Road then to the rugby field and then back to school. Everyone cheered for each other. Sometimes I had to stop running because I was out of breath and most of the kids were like that as well.

All the teachers and parents wanted us to do this because they wanted us to be healthy, fit and to be ready for the day.

After the  race, I was so tired and sore but I also felt proud of myself completing the race.

    What place did you come? I came 8th in the year six girls.
