Green week activity

The deep
George went out to the beach to  surf on the nice big waves. He was not so good at it but still he gave it a try. When he was surfing he was doing good but suddenly a big wave came and he just gone underwater. Luckily he brought his snorkel. When he got underwater he was amazed to see a lot of fishes, seahorses, whales, jellyfishes. He even saw a shark. After that he got a little sacred because something was lurking beneath him.

The Time Traveller

After he got into the animal's tummy, he got into a place were there was a lot of clocks. There was a lot of people in there and they started to call him “time traveller”. People called  him time traveller because whenever people told him to come somewhere he would be there right on time. He forgot all about the enormous animal and that place felt to him like a normal place. He also made a home for himself there and he would always say “the clock was the key to everything; the key to moving through time and space. 

The start of a new journey

One day when George was walking through the beach, he saw a little turtle egg on the sand. George took the turtle to his home. He waited for the turtle to crack but it didn’t. Then he thought he just had to be patient, he waited two more weeks but nothing still happened. Then he took it back to the beach there he just had to wait two hours and the egg started to crack. Then two little legs came out, then the head soon the turtle was fully out of the egg. Its epic journey was only the beginning.

Our Cook Island visitors

This week is Cook Island  Language week,  We had some visitors from Cook Island that Ms Tuipulotu called. The visitors 
was in their cultural dress and got their instruments to sing us some songs from Cook Island.  The visitors are Ms Tuipulotu's  friends and they were so pleased to see each other. There were two of them and their names are Philominna  and Elizabeth Akaruru.  They both are so talented. Then they started using their instruments and sang.
After they sang everyone cheered for them. We were so happy that  they came as well. 

I wish that they will come back soon to visit us.

Our last garden to table session for 2019 🍕

This was our last session of garden to table. Room 23 participated at garden to table term two. All these Wednesdays we have been going to garden to table and eating yummy food and doing gardening. We also get to try making food from other countries and eat them. On the last day it is every ones favorite day because we eat pizza that day. 

The people who is cooking that week get to make the pizza.🍕🍕🍕

Kauri team Cross Country

This morning Kauri team met at the hall steps because we all were getting ready for our Kauri team Cross Country. We all were waiting for Ms Green to give us the instructions so we could follow them and we could be safe while we are on the road and on the drive ways. After that we went into the Hall and there Ms Oshea gave us more instructions.

We started from the hall, Before we started all the parents and teachers were needed to stand were they were suppose to the year six boys started it then the year six girls after that the year five boys  then the year five girls. We all ran down to range view road then to halberg park and we came back to school  everyone was cheering for each other because  it was a race.

Most of the parents were there to help us. There was only  one parent from our class. We at least needed fifteen parents to help us because there was a  lot of ways and we could be safe when we are crossing drive ways and roads. 

We all ran down to Rangeview Road then to the rugby field and then back to school. Everyone cheered for each other. Sometimes I had to stop running because I was out of breath and most of the kids were like that as well.

All the teachers and parents wanted us to do this because they wanted us to be healthy, fit and to be ready for the day.

After the  race, I was so tired and sore but I also felt proud of myself completing the race.

On Thursday, the 16th of May my class went to stardome observatory by bus.Rooms 19, 16 and 23 went together on the bus. We had some parent helpers from each class. We also got slitted into groups. Some were with the parent helpers and some with the teachers.Then we gone into a room and an educator called John told us about the planets,the Sun and the stars.It felt kind of boring to me but after some time it felt cool because he was  holding a lamp with  yellow light and pretended it was the sun. We also had a quiz with the group we were in.The groups all had names of planets.My groups name was Earth. At the end we finally gone to the planetarium it also had some aliens. It kind of looked like a cartoon. I really liked this it was so cool. I wished if my family could be there with me. I think we did this because our topic for this year is sky's the limit and to learn about space. I really enjoyed it because I really wished if I could go to a planetarium in New Zealand and it was really fun.

This is a picture of Mars before  long time ago. I was so amazed when I so this.
I couldn't belive my eyes because I never knew that Mars had oceans like Earth.

        Yes......I would certainly  go to mars if I would have a chance because I really like go 

     to the space because I really like to enjoy the view.Every  night I would go outside and       imagine going to the space and I am certainly going to the space if it is only safe .I  am 

      also super afraid that I had to stay in the space forever.But I like to go to the space.

This is my cybersmart  work for this week and it is mostly about taking photos from the camera and google.
 We draw a chrome book our selves on google drawing but it was really tricky because when I try to attach
 them to each other but they never got attached so that was my trickiest  thing that I did  inthis cybersmart folder.
